8.6 Personal Recording and Photography
Members of the Law School community are welcome to take photographs inside the Law School building. All members of the community are expected to respect anyone’s wishes not to be photographed.
Anyone from outside the Law School community must have permission to photograph, audio record, videorecord, or otherwise document within the Law School building, regardless of whether the documentation is of people or architecture. Those wishing to photograph or record inside the Law School building should contact the Communications Office.
Students may not record meetings, conversations, interviews, or other interactions with University or law school staff, faculty, or fellow students, whether in class or out of class, without mutual consent to the recording. Similarly, students may not use AI notetakers or other AI tools during meetings, conversations, or other interactions with staff, faculty, or fellow students without mutual consent to the use of such tools. If you wish to record an interaction or use AI tools in the interaction, you must disclose your intention and you must ask for – and receive – permission to do so from everyone involved before proceeding.
