The Women’s Advocacy Project sparked an important conversation about gendered experiences at the Law School. Now, WAP is continuing the dialogue and expanding the context to include greater intersectionality. Any discussion of gender issues at the law school is not three-dimensional without recognition that race, class, sexuality, religion and other facets of identity are intrinsically part of our experiences. Join the Law School's affinity groups in welcoming Jenn Jackson from the University of Chicago's Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality to discuss "Intersectionality 101." Together, we will answer: What is intersectionality? Why does it matter? How is intersectionality applicable to the legal realm?
