Democracies are in trouble around the world, and this has extended to the international arena, where authoritarians are growing bolder. Can international law do anything about it? The answer is a qualified yes, and this talk will document the challenges of our moment, as well as provide some examples of regional legal regimes that have defended democracy.

Please note: This is not an in-person event. This lecture will take place virtually via Zoom webinar.
