Join the American Constitution Society (ACS), Muslim Law Students Association (MLSA), and South Asian Law Students Association (SALSA) in a conversation with Judge Zahid Quraishi of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey–the first Muslim Article III judge in U.S. history. With Judge Quraishi we hope to explore the progression of his career before becoming a judge and how his background as a Muslim- and Pakistani-American have influenced his view of the law and the lawyer's role in society.

This convening is open to all invitees who are compliant with UChicago vaccination requirements and, because of ongoing health risks, particularly to the unvaccinated, participants are expected to adopt the risk mitigation measures (masking and social distancing, etc.) appropriate to their vaccination status as advised by public health officials or to their individual vulnerabilities as advised by a medical professional.
