Mary Anne Case on Attorney Rachel Mitchell's Role in the Kavanaugh Hearings

How Well Did Attorney Rachel Mitchell Do During The Kavanaugh Hearings?

Rachel Mitchell, Special Victims Division director at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, played an unprecedented role in the Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday, which heard testimony from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford alleging sexual assault by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

This was a high-profile event with testimony of a sensitive nature, and Mitchel, who spoke to KZZ in January, said her mission was to have her sex crimes division do “the best we can for victims.”

How did Mitchell’s role play out to outside observers?

To help answer that, The Show was joined by Professor Mary Anne Case of the University of Chicago Law School.
