Law Professor Talks about Trump's Plan to Send National Guard to Chicago

NPR's Leila Fadel speaks with Craig Futterman, Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Civil Rights and Police Accountability Project of the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic, about President Trump's plans to send National Guard troops to Chicago.

"His threats to send troops to invade Chicago is a terrifying unconstitutional overreach," Futterman said. "This is really threatening the use of the military against its own citizens, against the will of local officials. This is the kind of stuff of dictators and authoritarian regimes, fundamental threats to fundamental principles in America, the very things that make us America."
