Reforming the University of Chicago Police Department 

Join Professors Chilton and Davidson as they have an open dialogue about the University of Chicago Police Department (UCPD). UCPD is one of the largest private security forces in the United States. And as calls to reform police departments have grown louder around the country over the last years, so to have calls to reform the UCPD. They will discuss the unique role of the UCPD, the University’s plan to create a new Public Safety Advisory Council, and ideas about how best to improve the UCPD.

The Martha C. Nussbaum Student Roundtables support the University of Chicago’s longstanding commitment to free expression and open discourse.
