Flint Taylor is a civil rights attorney who has litigated death penalty, police brutality, and wrongful convictions cases for 45 years. Mr. Taylor will be discussing one of his most NLG most famous cases: litigating the Fred Hampton civil rights suit. Fred Hampton was the Chairman of the Black Panther Party in Chicago and was killed by the Chicago Police Department in 1969--part of the lawsuit also uncovered the FBIs surveillance of the Panthers through the COINTELPRO program. You can read a brief account by Mr. Taylor about his involvement in the civil rights suit here
