Rachel Meeropol of the Center for Constitutional Rights will speak about fighting "ag-gag" laws. Her efforts have include working as lead counsel in Blum v Holder, which challenged the constitutionality of the federal Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act. She has also assisted the Animal Legal Defense Fund's efforts to combat state "ag-gag" statutes, most recently through an amicus brief in ALDF v Otter, which questioned Idaho's "ag-gag" law. In the last year, the Center for Constitutional Rights was also instrumental in striking down Utah's "ag-gag" statute.
