Geoffrey R. Stone and Christie Hefner Discuss Sex and the Constitution at Chicago Public Library

Open to the public

One of our greatest living legal scholars and a professor at the University of Chicago (and the author of the prize-winning Perilous Times), Geoffrey R. Stone shows that sex is at the center of a constitutional revolution, built upon two centuries of American law that called into question regulations over contraception, abortion, obscenity and sodomy.

For every celebration of gay marriage, or audience-friendly drama like Loving, there are many more unsettled fights ahead for a battle-worn Supreme Court. Sex and the Constitution is the fascinating story of how those justices (and all of us) have navigated these profoundly divisive yet vital questions.

Stone appears in conversation with businesswoman Christie Hefner.

Seating in the Cindy Pritzker Auditorium is first come, first served (385 max.). Books are available for purchase and the author will autograph books at the conclusion of the program.
