Blueberry Soup: How Iceland changed the way we think about the world?

11/18

Open to the public

Blueberry Soup is an extraordinary documentary by Eileen Jerrett about the constitutional
change in Iceland following the financial crisis of 2008. This is a notwellknown story
of grassroots crowdsourced constitutionalism.
The film is a deeply touching account of a concerned group of citizens reinventing democracy
through the rewriting of the nation's constitution. The film is coming to campus this Fall as part of
a full U.S. screening tour which began at Harvard University as a guest of Lawrence Lessig. The
tour is meant to evoke discussions with students about participatory democracy in today's
political climate. And to ask the question "If given a second chance, how does a nation rebuild?"

The film runs for 80 minutes, followed by a Q&A with the director.

Lunch from Z&H is provided. This event, co-sponsored by the Law School and Jessup Moot Court, is free and open to the public.
