Join ACS for a conversation with Judge Gary Feinerman of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Judge Feinerman has served on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois since 2010. Before being nominated by President Barack Obama, Judge Feinerman worked for the United States Department of Justice and in private practice, and served as Illinois Solicitor General from 2003 to 2007. He received his JD from Stanford Law School before clerking for Judge Joel Flaum on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and for Justice Anthony Kennedy. Judge Feinerman is also a lecturer in law here at the University of Chicago Law School, where he teaches a course on judicial opinion-writing.
