Benjamin Witte, ’14, recipient of Clinton Family Fund and Douglas G. Baird Fund on his scholarship

I came to the University of Chicago Law School directly out of undergrad at the University of Missouri, where I studied chemical engineering. Following graduation, I was torn between my desire to explore law and my fear of making a financial commitment to begin learning a subject in which I had zero experience. The scholarship support I received allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and fully commit to learning law. As I begin my 2L year, I am increasingly interested in the field of intellectual property law, and I look forward to exploring it further. I could not be more thankful for the opportunity to learn a new subject surrounded by some of the brightest students and professors in the country.
