Scales of Justice

The "Scales of Justice" is the Law School's mixed a capella group. It offers an opportunity for law students to rehearse and perform multi-part arrangements ranging from jazz standards to pop hits.

Scales rehearses once a week for two hours. Past performances have included the Law School Wine Mess, the annual Law School Talent Show, the annual Alumni Reunion Luncheon and other concerts for the greater University Community.

Scales is made up of twelve to sixteen 1Ls, 2Ls and 3Ls with a wide variety of musical experience.

The current incarnation of the group includes former members of collegiate a cappella groups ranging from the Harvard Krokadilos and the Princeton Katzenjammers to the USC Sirens and the Johns Hopkins Mental Notes. Other members were trained classically, and some gained their experience in the shower.

Auditions are held in the fall, and are open to all law students.
