Miles offered welcome remarks. “Although you leave us physically, your association with the Law School is permanent. You have, as every class does, left your mark on the Law School, just as we have left ours on you,” he said.

Adams told  students: "Over the past three years, you’ve read hundreds of cases over what must have seemed like millions of hours. You’ve experienced the terror and the thrill of the cold call. And you’ve come out the other side even more impressive, more confident, and more sleep-deprived than you ever could have imagined. So let today be a day for celebration."

The faculty speaker, David A. Weisbach, the Walter J. Blum Professor of Law, told students: “Like no time in my life, the world needs people like you. I’ve never been more proud to be a law professor than today, because my job is to help create the young lawyers, you, that our country and the world needs.”

The Class of 2019 celebrated their Law School graduation at Rockefeller Chapel on Saturday, June 15. They received their hoods and diplomas at a ceremony that featured remarks by Dean Thomas J. Miles, Katherine Adams, ’90, and Professor David Weisbach.
