Over 200 items were up for bid at the silent auction, and bidding for many of them got highly competititve inthe last seconds.

The annual Oliver Wendell Holmes Mustache Contest has quickly become a favorite. Auction attendees vote for their favorite 'staches by putting money in their preferred participant's box.

At a break in the live auction, the Law School's a cappella group, Scales of Justice, performed several songs.

The program for the 2010 Auction, known as "Mad Auction" for it's Mad Men theme. Students came dressed up in 60s finery to drink Manhattans and Gimlets in a theme-decorated Green Lounge. The program listed the hundreds of items available for bidding.

One of the auction's sponsors, Marshall Pierce & Company, allowed several students to model some of their stunning jewelry during the auction. Marshall Pierce also donated a lovely diamond ring setting to be auctioned off.

On Thursday, January 14, 2010, the Chicago Law Foundation held its 13th Annual Public Interest Auction. The Auction is one of the most widely anticipated events on the Chicago Law calendar, and students, faculty, and staff all turn out in force to eat, drink, and bid. CLF raises money to fund fellowships for students working in public interest jobs. This year's Auction offered hundreds of items in a silent auction, plus nearly 50 items in a live auction hosted by auctioneer Professor Douglas Baird.
