Judge Allison Eid, "A Perspective from the Bench"

Judge Allison Eid was confirmed by the Senate to serve on U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit on November 2, 2017. Before joining the circuit court, Judge Eid served as a Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court since 2006. Her career includes serving as Solicitor General for the State of Colorado and as an associate professor at the University of Colorado School of Law. She was also in private practice. Earlier in her law career she served as a law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and for Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Jerry Smith.

Judge Eid graduated from Stanford University with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa, and The University of Chicago Law School with high honors.
