Jared is passionate about the intersection of business, technology, and culture. He has played a critical role in shaping some of the world's most transformative companies. Currently, Jared is the chief strategy officer of Chime, one of the fastest-growing financial technology companies. Previously, Jared served as the chief strategy officer of Snapchat, the general counsel and global head of corporate development of Spotify, and a senior executive of Google. He also served in the dual capacity of chief executive officer of Huffpost and the global head of news and information at Verizon Media. Before that, he was the chief strategy and business development officer of AOL.

In addition, Jared is an Advisory Council member and lecturer in law at the University of Chicago Law School. He is a co-founder and board member of an education technology company elevating written expression for all students. Jared co-founded Shake, a venture-backed legal technology company that LegalShield acquired. He served on the board of Newsela and SoulCycle.

Jared has earned numerous industry accolades. On three separate occasions, Business Insider named him one of the hundred coolest and most influential people in the New York technology ecosystem. Adweek named him to its Class of Young Influentials who are "remaking business and culture." Fortune recognized him as one of the five most powerful technology lawyers. Jared received an MBA from Columbia Business School, a JD, with Honors, from the University of Chicago Law School, and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
