Join the Black Law Students Association for a conversation with Juval Scott and Monica Cliatt of the Western District of Virginia Federal Public Defenders Office. Ms. Scott is the Federal Public Defender and Ms. Cliatt is the First Assistant Federal Public Defender. Together, they head up the only Federal Public Defender office in the United States run by Black women.
Ms. Scott and Ms. Cliatt will be discussing their roles as public defenders and giving advice to public interest law students on how to network and position yourself as a criminal and civil public interest lawyer.
This event is part of BLSA's Black History Month programming.
