Please join the Criminal Law Society and the Exoneration Project for a discussion on exoneree John Horton's case. Mr. Horton was wrongfully convicted of murder and armed robbery at the age of 17 and served 23 years in prison before being exonerated in 2016. The talk will feature Justice Joseph E. Birkett of the Illinois Second District Appellate Court, who wrote the opinion exonerating Mr. Horton, Mr. Horton, Professor Alison Flaum, and attorneys Imran Ahmad and Josh Tepfer.
