Adam Hoeflich of Bartlit Beck will host a discussion on Mass Torts and the Media.  The panelists will be Mark Lanier of The Lanier Law Firm and Alison Frankel of Bloomberg.  Mark is one of if not the most prominent plaintiffs’ lawyer in America, having won the first Vioxx trial and other high profile verdicts and settlements.  Alison is one of if not the most prominent writer on mass torts and other high profile litigation, first for the American Lawyer and now for Bloomberg.  The panel will discuss, among other things, how the media covers mass torts, how media coverage affects mass torts, and how prominent lawyers decide whether to engage the media and, if so, how they do it.  Food and beverages will be served.
