Micah Quigley, ’21, Joins Notre Dame Law School Faculty
Notre Dame Law School Welcomes New Faculty Members for 2026–27 Academic Year
Notre Dame Law School is pleased to welcome six new faculty members and one visiting professor for the 2026–27 academic year. Collectively, they bring extensive scholarly, teaching, and practical experience across a wide range of legal fields.
“Our new faculty bring extraordinary breadth to Notre Dame Law School, with expertise spanning business law and entrepreneurship, legal philosophy, federal courts, and legal writing, while sharing a deep commitment to excellence in scholarship and teaching,” said G. Marcus Cole, the Joseph A. Matson Dean and Professor of Law. “I am excited for the contributions they will make to our intellectual community, the students they will teach, and our mission to educate lawyers and leaders who will become forces for good.”
New Faculty Members

Micah Quigley has joined the faculty as an associate professor of law. He teaches or writes about remedies, habeas corpus, federal courts, and jurisprudence. His scholarship has appeared in the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and the George Mason Law Review, among others. He is also a non-resident research fellow at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution. Before joining the Law School faculty, he was a non-resident fellow at the Stanford Constitutional Law Center and practiced law in Washington, D.C. Quigley clerked for Judge Andrew Oldham on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, Judge Neomi Rao on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and Justice Neil Gorsuch on the U.S. Supreme Court.
He studied political science and philosophy at Grove City College, and earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School
