Chicago's Best Ideas: Dick Posner's Greatest Hits

Featuring four Posner clerks turned Law School faculty: Jacob Goldin, Jonathan S. Masur, Jennifer Nou, and Randal C. Picker, '85.

Jacob Goldin: Richard M. Lipton Professor of Tax Law. Trained as a lawyer and economist, much of Professor Goldin’s research focuses on US tax policy affecting low-income household. He was a Judicial Clerk for the Hon. Richard Posner from 2014 – 2015. 

Jonathan S. Masur: John P. Wilson Professor of Law, Director of the Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz Program in Behavioral Law, Finance and Economics, David and Celia Hilliard Research Scholar. Professor Masur’s research and teaching interests include patent law, administrative law, and the wines of Bordeaux. He was a Law Clerk for the Hon. Richard Posner from 2004 - 2005.

Jennifer Nou: Ruth Wyatt Rosenson Professor of Law. Professor Nou's main research interests are in administrative law, executive branch dynamics, regulatory policy, and constitutional separation-of-powers. She was a Law Clerk for the Hon. Richard Posner from 2008 - 2009.

Randal C. Picker, '85: James Parker Hall Distinguished Service Professor of Law. Professor Picker's primary areas of interest are the laws relating to intellectual property, competition policy and regulated industries, and applications of game theory and agent-based computer simulations to the law. He was a Law Clerk for the Hon. Richard Posner from 1985 - 1986.
