Sue Pak joined the Law School in November 2025 as the Director of Public Service and Pro Bono, leading the planning, development, and implementation of programs, counseling, resources, and career activities for students and alumni interested in public service activities and careers and pro bono service.
Prior to joining the University, Sue spent almost a decade at Cabrini Green Legal Aid (CGLA) in Chicago, Illinois. She came to CGLA as a Skadden Fellow, providing re-entry services to youth and emerging adults impacted by gun violence. She became the Supervising Attorney of the Emerging Adults Program, overseeing the legal services provided to young people negatively impacted by the juvenile and criminal legal systems, including criminal records relief and defense of youth facing alleged juvenile aftercare (parole) violations. As the Supervising Attorney of the Community Services and Outreach program, Sue oversaw CGLA’s Expungement Help Desks at the Daley Center, Markham Court, and Juvenile Court which serve thousands of individuals annually. Sue’s most recent position was as CGLA’s Director of Development.
In 2019, Sue was awarded the Kimball R. Anderson and Karen Gatsis Anderson Public Interest Law Fellowship Award from the Chicago Bar Foundation for her commitment to public interest work.
Prior to attending law school, Sue managed volunteer service and outreach opportunities for 8 years at Wheaton College. She witnessed firsthand the clear need for low-income, marginalized communities to have access to legal services for them to flourish. She felt God’s call to pursue a career in public interest law and earned her law degree from DePaul University College of Law, with a Certificate in Public Interest Law.
Sue also received her Master of Divinity from Trinity International University and her B.A. in Sociology from Emory University.
