Winter Storm Guidance

A winter storm is expected to affect Chicago beginning February 1, 2022 and continuing through February 3, 2022. The following message was sent to our student community by Dean of Students Charles Todd. A separate message was sent by Provost Lee and EVP Katie Callow-Wright.

Dear Students,

The University has just sent a message to the University community regarding the seasonal weather forecast for the next two days. While classes will continue, some of your instructors may opt to use remote options during this time. Please consult the Canvas pages for any announcements and be on the lookout for communications from your instructors.

In light of these developments, we have cancelled Coffee Mess tomorrow and we have encouraged student organizations to move their events to remote format if possible.

The D’Angelo Law Library service desks and the reserves room will be closed tomorrow, February 2. Reference librarians and staff will be working remotely and available to answer questions, provide research support, and assist with use of collections and resources via Ask a Law Librarian. Students can check out non-reserves Library materials using the self-checkout machine by the Circulation Desk.

We urge everyone to take caution tomorrow if you must come to the building. The Green Lounge will remain open.

As always, if you have questions, please let us know.

Warm wishes,

Charles Todd

Dean of Students
