Crain’s 2019 Notable Gen X Leaders in Law

Steven Blonder serves on Much Shelist’s management committee and oversees social responsibility. His practice focuses on complex business litigation. During the past year, he secured, as part of the senior trial team, a $250 million settlement from State Farm in the Hale RICO conspiracy case. And he recovered a large award for Cook County in an insurance coverage case. In a recent pro bono case, he secured a first impression ruling against Uber that a ride-share company cannot discriminate because it is covered as a public accommodation under the Americans With Disabilities Act. In directing the firm’s charitable work, Blonder organized firmwide volunteer activities with Ronald McDonald House, Back 2 School Illinois and Lakeview Pantry. He mentors younger attorneys in trial and litigation skills.
