Robert J. Martineau

Robert J. Martineau (May 18, 1934 - May 1, 2023) He was born in Oconto, Wisconsin to Francis Joseph Martineau & Gertrude (Schauer) Martineau. He was married December 21, 1957, to Constance Anne Zimmerman, also from Oconto, WI and they were married almost 65 years until her death in November 2022. He is also predeceased by his parents, his two siblings, Thomas Martineau (Yvonne), younger sister Anne Weege (Eugene) and grandson Daniel Gniazdowski. He is survived by his four children, Robert J. Martineau, Jr. (Pam Eddy), Nashville TN, Renee Martineau, Rochester WA, Anne Gniazdowksi (Thomas), Springboro, OH, and Jeanne Morgan (Chris), Nashville TN, as well as five grandchildren, Meredith Martineau, Jamie Martineau, Sarah Gniazdowski, Mike Morgan, and Elizabeth Morgan.

Bob graduated from Central Catholic High School in Green Bay, WI (now part of Notre Dame Academy), Holy Cross College, Worcester, MA and received his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School. He began his career as a law clerk to Chief Judge Frederick Brune of the Maryland Court of Appeals (1959-1960), then from 1960 to 1968 he practiced law with the Baltimore, MD firm of Venable, Baejter & Howard, at Walsh, Fisher & Martineau in Maryland and also served as an Assistant Attorney General in Maryland.
