Richard Curtis Fox

Richard Curtis Fox died peacefully in the early hours of May 6th, 2023, in Falmouth Maine. During his 88 years he aided and inspired others through his passion for work and through a wide range of interests and activities.

During his childhood, he and his parents, Alfred and Virginia, sister Caro Lynn, and brother Geoffrey lived on Long Island, New York, in Mexico, and in Upper New York State. After one early year of college, Rick joined the Marines, which he credited for shaping his work ethic and giving direction for his future successes. After he was discharged, he returned to the University of Rochester for his Bachelor of Arts and then went to the University of Chicago Law School, where he was an editor of the Law Review and received his Juris Doctor in 1961. He then moved to Harrisburg, PA, where he began a nearly sixty-year career as a corporate and tax attorney. In addition to the challenges of practicing law, he also enjoyed the travel his work entailed, and frequently went on additional worldwide trips for pleasure. After Harrisburg, Rick moved to Delray Beach, Florida, to Pecos, New Mexico, and then to Exeter, New Hampshire. More recently, he wintered in Jensen Beach, Florida and summered on Peaks Island, Maine.
