Gov. Parson appoints Christofferson to Truman Board of Governors

Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced nine appointments to various boards and commissions on Monday night, one of which to Truman State.

Parson appointed Philip Christofferson to the Truman State University Board of Governors, replacing Dr. Laura Crandall, whose term expired in 2019.

Christofferson, a Ballwin native, has been an owner and partner of the St. Louis law firm Cockerel and Christofferson for more than 15 years. His firm has primarily focused on construction and business litigation.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from Truman, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He also received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School. Since then he has become a member of the Missouri, Illinois and American Bar Associations. And since 2014 Christofferson has been on the board of directors for Kids In the Middle, a St. Louis-bases nonprofit that helps support children and families going through divorce.
