LG “Chip” Harter appointed to key US international tax post
Lafayette G. Harter has been appointed US Deputy Assistant Secretary (International Tax Affairs), Treasury has confirmed.
In his new role, Harter will provide advice and counsel to the US Assistant Secretary (Tax Policy) related to international tax policy and tax treaties. He will officially represent the Administration’s interests in international settings.
Harter is a former principal with PwC Washington National Tax Practice and is an alumni of University of Chicago Law School.
