Kristina R. Osterhaus ’97 appointed to Second Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission

Florida Governor Rick Scott has announced the appointments of T. W. Maurice Langston and Kristina R. Osterhaus to the Second Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission.

Osterhaus, 38, of Tallahassee, is an active member of the District of Columbia Bar and an inactive member of the Virginia State Bar. She was an associate at Wiley, Rein and Fielding LLP from 1998 to 2002. She succeeds Kelly Overstreet Johnson and is appointed for a term beginning August 8, 2011, and ending July 1, 2015.

Previously, Osterhaus clerked for federal Judge Kenneth Ryskamp, United States District Court Judge for the Southern District of Florida. In 2008, she was appointed to temporarily serve on the Judicial Qualifications Commission. She received her bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and her law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
