Waklatsi Appointed To Multiple Board Roles

Taft Cincinnati attorney Kevin Waklatsi recently joined the board of multiple community organizations. Most recently, he was appointed to and will serve on the Board of Directors for the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. They are the preeminent cultural learning center for inclusive freedom — locally, nationally and globally and are committed to pursuing inclusive freedom by promoting social justice for all, building on the principles of the Underground Railroad.

Waklatsi is an active member of the community and a steadfast supporter of Greater Cincinnati. In addition to his current appointments, Waklatsi was recently elected to the Board of Directors for Cincinnati Works, working with those living in poverty to assist them in advancing to economic self-sufficiency through employment, and Soteni Kenya, an organization focused on fighting against HIV/AIDS and breaking the cycle of poverty and disease by advancing entrepreneurship, health services, and wellbeing in Kenya. He has also been appointed to serve on the Board of Trustees for Black Art Speaks, which works to promote Black culture, social justice, and expression through the uplifting of Black artist voices.
