Judge's Ruling in Abbate Case Is Significant Victory for Civil Rights and Police Accountability Clinic

The federal judge has issued a ruling adopting the position taken by Clinical Professor Craig Futterman and Northwestern's Locke Bowman in denying the City of Chicago's attempt to vacate the recent jury verdict finding that a "code of silence" within the City of Chicago Police Department was in part responsible for the cover-up surrounding off-duty officer Anthony Abbate's video-taped beating of bartender Karolina Obrycka.
