Howard University today announced that former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey, a central figure in the federal investigation into potential collusion between Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and Russian political operatives, will join the university as an endowed faculty member in its department of political science and keynote speaker for Howard’s opening convocation on Sept. 23.

Comey, a career litigator and multiple prominent stops in the federal government as a US attorney and acting US Attorney General, will serve as Howard’s 2017-2018 Gwendolyn S. and Colbert I.
