Isabelle Argueta, ’24, Receives Top Student Award from Federal Defender Program for Work as an Intern

Isabelle Argueta, ’24, has been selected as the recipient of the highest student award offered by the Federal Defender Program of the US District Court of the Northern District of Illinois. For her work interning for the office in 2022, Argueta has received the Judge William J. Campbell Intern-at-Law Award.

The criteria for the award include:

  • a true interest in and love for criminal law
  • an interest in learning those things required to become an able trial lawyer
  • an ability and willingness to complete assignments
  • general good character and unquestioned integrity, and
  • a demonstrated devotion and dedication to the goals of the Federal Defender Program.

The award includes a plaque and a $250 check.
