Hugh Hallman '88 Takes Steps to Run for Arizona Governor

Former Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman has taken another step in a run for Arizona governor in 2014.

Hallman, a Republican, has formed a new political action committee with the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office. Hallman actually formed a candidate committee which is a precursor to a formal run.

Elect Hugh Hallman Governor 2014 has been established by Hallman and his wife, Susan.

Hallman is an economist and attorney with a law degree from the University of Chicago. He is currently headmaster at Tempe Preparatory Academy. He served as Tempe mayor from 2004 until last year.

Hallman’s resume also includes a teaching stint in Kazakhstan. He authored a book called “How to do Business in Kazakhstan” in 1999. He's also written books on doing business in Mexico and the state of Sonora.
