Gerald Saltarelli '73 Named Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators

Gerald G. Saltarelli, a founding partner of the Chicago-based law firm Butler Rubin Saltarelli & Boyd LLP, has been named a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators.  Saltarelli is also an active member of the American Arbitration Association’s Commercial and Large, Complex Case Panels in Chicago.  He also arbitrates claims for the Association’s Centre for International Dispute and is a member of CPR’s Insurance and Franchise panels.

Saltarelli was recognized as a leader in alternative dispute resolution in The Best Lawyers in America, 2006-2013.  In the 2014 edition of Best Lawyers, he is identified as a leader in arbitration and commercial litigation.  In addition, he has been identified as an Illinois Super Lawyer in Business Litigation, 2005-2014.  As part of the Law Bulletin Publishing Group’s 2014 survey of the top lawyers in the state, Saltarelli was designated as a Leading Lawyer in Illinois in Commercial Litigation; ADR Law (Commercial Litigation); Insurance, Insurance Coverage & Reinsurance Law; and Professional Malpractice Defense Law.

The College of Commercial Arbitrators – - a national organization of commercial arbitrators – - is intended to provide service to the profession, the public, and to the businesses and lawyers who depend on commercial arbitration as a primary means of dispute resolution.  Fellowship in the College is by invitation of the Board.  Membership criteria include substantial experience as a commercial arbitrator, high ethical standards, and high regard in the field among academics, other neutrals and counsel.  Current Fellows nominate proposed Fellows.
