David Pope is administrative partner in charge at Benesch’s Chicago office and a litigator experienced in class actions. He is one of two lawyers who established the Chicago office in 2015 after joining the Cleveland-based firm. Pope has overseen the office’s growth into a full-service enterprise housing 54 attorneys. Benesch has moved or expanded its local presence three times and is set to move into larger space this summer. Pope has handled business and logistical challenges while also dedicating himself to maintaining a culture that places diversity and family-friendly policies as a priority. As a partner in Benesch’s litigation practice group and co-chair of the class-action practice group, Pope defends clients in consumer class actions and also handles a variety of other commercial litigation.
