As head of Sidley’s 150-lawyer Chicago litigation practice, Dave Gordon last year managed a reorganization that grew the group by 40 percent. Gordon has led winning teams in high-profile cases. In one newsworthy matter, he obtained a $62 million judgment for Chicago Loop Parking (owned by Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners) against the city of Chicago. And Gordon represented a Chinese accounting firm in an administrative hearing brought by the SEC’s enforcement division pertaining to audit workpapers. In his pro bono practice, Gordon led a team that obtained political asylum for four children from El Salvador. Gordon is a 2018 fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago and serves on the board of Ingenuity, which seeks to bring arts education to students at Chicago Public Schools.
