Christiana Burnett, ’25, has been appointed to the council of the American Bar Association Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar.

Burnett is slated for a one-year term as the council’s Law Student Division member.

“Legal education has vast repercussions and I want to help shape the future of it, not just for the sake of lawyers and law students themselves, but for the clients they assist and the communities they serve,” Burnett said.

In addition to her ABA Law Student Division work, Burnett is president of the Education and Child Advocacy Society and Academic Chair of the Black Law Students Association. She also serves as a mentor for UChicago Careers in Law Program, First Generation Professionals, and the Public Interest Law Society.
