Those listed in the guide were selected from their respective states’ rosters of local litigation stars in the 2012 edition of peer-reviewed parent publication Benchmark Litigation. Benchmark Litigation is the only publication on the market to focus exclusively on litigation in the United States. The guide’s results are the culmination of a six-month research period for researchers to conduct extensive interviews with litigators and clients. Mather is a partner in Pepper’s Philadelphia office and past chair of the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Department. She is a trial lawyer with experience in professional responsibility and malpractice, antitrust, securities and corporate governance, and other commercial, as well as college and university law. Mather has been a lecturer in law for antitrust at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and taught appellate advocacy and legal ethics. She also served as city solicitor of Philadelphia, the chief civil lawyer in the city and head of the firm’s 100-member law department in Philadelphia.
