U.K.-based law firm Gunnercooke LLP announced the hiring of its fifth and sixth lateral partners in the U.S., bringing aboard both a life sciences and an immigration partner to its New York office.

Anna Zhao joins Gunnercooke's life sciences practice from AZ Lab Life Sciences, while He Xian moves over from Butzel Long PC for the firm's corporate department and global mobility practice.

"The breadth of Zhao's and Dr. Xian's extensive experience will serve to enhance the firm's strong and growing global footprint," Noreen R. Weiss, the firm's U.S. chair, said in a statement on Tuesday.
