40 Under 40 Features Frantzen, '99, Pokorny, '01, Rubenstein, '02

Success at any age is impressive. But to achieve it at an early age is evenmore of a feat. This, though is exactly what the 40 young attorneys featured in this publication have done.

For the last 15 years, the 40 Under Forty Committee at Law Bulletin Publishing Company sifts through piles of nominations to select 40 of the most talented young attorneys practicing in Illinois.

Sandra Frantzen is making waves as a bright young attorney in the intellectualproperty arena. Frantzen, 39, works at McAndrews, Held & Malloy Ltd. Her legalpractice focuses on litigation and consulting in the medical device and pharmaceuticalindustries. She specializes in the complex, high stakes, and highly competitive field ofpatent litigation.

William R. Pokorny is well-versed on labor and employment law issues. The 38-year-old attorney is a partner at Franczek Radelet P.C., and has earned the respect of hispeers and clients. David P. Radelet, of Franczek Radelet, said Pokorny was hired at the firm in 2006, and named partner just two years later. Since that time, Radelet has worked closely with Pokorny on many client assignments and firm activities. He said Pokorny is an invaluable part of the team.

As a partner at Schiff Hardin, Amy Rubenstein, 36, not only delivers in the courtroom,she is well liked and respected by her clients, colleagues and peers — both on herside and across the aisle. Her courtroom experience covers an impressive rangeof industries, including chemicals, professional services, insurance and reinsurance,luxury goods, franchising, and food and beverage. Rubenstein’s clients appreciate that,despite her intensity in the courtroom, she also develops strategies to avoid litigationand arbitration.
