Graduation Regalia
Regalia (gown, cap/tam, tassel) can be ordered now online from the University Bookstore or in person at 970 East 58th Street.
JD/JSD regalia can be rented, but Master’s regalia must be purchased.
Please do not purchase a hood. Master’s and JD/JSD candidates will receive their academic hood as a gift during Law School Hooding & Diploma Ceremony.

Deadlines:
- Masters – Purchase and ship to home – Deadline: Monday, April 28
- Will ship direct to candidates within 2 weeks of order
- For Master’s candidates who miss the online ship to home order deadline, regalia will be available for purchase at the University Bookstore (2nd floor) beginning May 5, 2025.
- Bookstore will not be offering preorder online and pick-up at the bookstore.
- Doctoral – JD/JSD Rental Order Deadline: Monday, April 21
- Rental Pickup: Week of June 2 (JD/JSD orders are shipped to the bookstore for candidates to pick-up).
- Rented attire must be returned to the University Bookstore following the ceremony, no later than June 9, 2025.
- JD/JSD Purchase Order Deadline: Monday, April 7 (Ships to residence 8 weeks after ordering)
- Bookstore will not be offering a ship to residence option for doctorial rental attire.
Master candidates who missed the online pre-order for ship at home option: Master regalia will be available for purchase at the University Bookstore (2nd floor) beginning May 5, 2025.
JD/doctoral candidates who missed the online pre-order option: JD/doctorial regalia will be available for in-person ordering starting on June 2. Limited availability and sizes and are first-come, first-serve.
