Graduation Regalia

All degree candidates must wear the proper academic regalia that is appropriate for the degree they receive at Convocation, regardless of any previous degrees received. 

Regalia: Cap, Gown, and Tassel.

NOTE: Law Students should NOT purchase a hood. The hood will be a gift to graduates from the Law School.

Master: Regalia may be purchased online at oakhallcg.com/pages/uchicago, at the cost of $82.00. Online orders will ship to your home address within 2 weeks of ordering. The deadline for online ordering is Monday, April 27, 2026.

JD/PH.D.: Regalia may be rented online at oakhallcg.com/pages/uchicago, at the cost of $75.00. Online rental orders will ship to the UChicago Bookstore and will be available for pickup during the week of June 1, 2026. The deadline to submit an online rental order is Monday, April 27, 2026.
