Thank you for your interest in serving as an alumni mentor with the University of Chicago Law Mentoring Program! The Mentoring Program provides first-year law students the opportunity to connect with the UChicago Law alumni community to equip them with the tools and resources to guide their success in the legal profession.
Recruitment for the 2025-26 program is now open. To serve as a volunteer alumni mentor, please complete and submit the form below by Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
Program notes:
- The mentoring program includes both Chicago-based pairings and virtual mentorships with alumni located outside of Chicago.
- While we do our best to pair every alum with a student mentee, pairings are based on student interest and/or demand, and we cannot guarantee you will be matched with a student.
- Pairings announcements will be made in early February.
- Please find mentoring program materials here, including FAQs and How to Make the Most of Your Mentoring Relationship.
Interested in connecting with current students, but can’t commit to a 1:1 mentoring pairing? There is a place on the form below under the "How would you like to connect with students?" question to note you are willing to be included in an alumni outreach list.
Please contact Maureen Horonzy, Senior Director of Alumni Relations, at mhoronzy@uchicago.edu with any questions.
