Mentees: 1L Mentoring Program Sign-Up (2026)

Thank you for your interest in participating in the University of Chicago 1L Mentoring Program!

The 1L Mentoring Program provides first-year law students the opportunity to be paired with an alumni mentor to equip them with the tools and resources to guide their success in the legal profession.

Recruitment for the 2026-27 program is now open. To sign up as a mentee, please complete and submit the form below by Monday, September 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

Program notes:

• Although we ask you to fill out this form now, we will not have pairings completed until late October. Pairings will be based on the information that you provide.

• We will host a "How to Make the Most of Your Mentoring Relationship" session for students on Thursday, October 1st at 12:15 PM. Please RSVP here.

• The program includes both Chicago-based pairings and virtual pairings with alumni located outside of Chicago. Note: Chicago-based pairs are not required to meet in-person, though we encourage it when schedules allow.

• Please review the mentoring program materials, including FAQs and How to Make the Most of Your Mentoring Relationship, before submitting this form.
