Brant Weidner is Assistant General Counsel at Winston & Strawn LLP. He first joined the the firm in 1987 and was a litigation partner in the firm’s Chicago office before leaving to join legal industry mutual insurer Attorneys' Liability Assurance Society and then later Lloyds’ of London syndicate The Beazley Group. He managed lawyers’ professional liability claims for both organizations and also developed and led the risk management program for Beazley. After spending 15 years in the professional liability insurance space, he has handled hundreds of legal malpractice claims, counseled lawyers and firms on managing their risk and accumulated a strong knowledge of all facets of legal professional liability. He returned to the firm in his current position in 2017. Brant graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1983 and from DePaul University College of Law in 1987.
