Jason Sussman is a Principal at The Pritzker Organization, L.L.C., the merchant bank for the business interests of certain members of the Pritzker family. His areas of focus include structured transactions and investments in financial services businesses.
Previously, he was a Vice President in structured finance at Barclays Capital, where he held proprietary investments and investment banking roles. While at Barclays Capital, Mr. Sussman also served as a member of the board of directors of several Barclays group companies. Before that, Mr. Sussman was a corporate and tax Associate at Davis, Polk and Wardwell LLP.
Mr. Sussman serves as a Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School. He created and teaches the course, “Structuring Financial Instruments.”
His community engagement includes serving as an advisory committee member of Invest For Kids and a board member of Chicago Children’s Theatre.
Mr. Sussman is a CFA charterholder. He received his BA (summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and his JD (with high honors) simultaneously from Columbia University in 2005.
