Russell Ainsworth is a partner at Loevy & Loevy. Ainsworth joined Loevy & Loevy in the fall of 2003 and litigates numerous civil rights cases, including wrongful conviction, police brutality, First Amendment violations, discrimination claims, and cases implicating the Constitution of the United States of America. Ainsworth has tried over a dozen civil rights cases to juries and argued appeals before the Seventh Circuit, the Sixth Circuit, the Illinois Supreme Court, and the Illinois Appellate Court. Ainsworth is also a Lecturer in Law at the Law School, where he co-teaches The Exoneration Project, a wrongful conviction legal clinic. Ainsworth has lectured in the Exoneration Project since its inception in 2008.

Ainsworth graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2002, magna cum laude. Following graduation, he clerked for the brilliant Judge Lundsten of the Wisconsin Court of Appeals. He has been admitted to practice by the Illinois Supreme Court, the Northern, Central, and Southern District Courts of Illinois, the Northern District of Indiana, the Northern District of Ohio, and the Sixth and Seventh Circuit Courts of Appeals.
