Unclear about what it means to be a staffer on a journal? Unclear about what a legal academic journal’s purpose is? Get answers from the experts. The Editors-in-Chief of each of the four journals will sit on a panel: Candice Yandam Riviere from the Law Review, Amber Stewart from the Chicago Journal of International Law, Lauren Spungen from the Legal Forum, and Lucy Kirichenko and Megan Ingram from the Business Law Review. They'll shed some light on what working for a journal looks like, what they've gotten out of their journal experience, and, of course, what a legal academic journal actually does. Hope to see you all there!

Lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the event by the Dean of Students Office.

This convening is open to all invitees who are compliant with UChicago vaccination requirements and, because of ongoing health risks, particularly to the unvaccinated, participants are expected to adopt the risk mitigation measures (masking and social distancing, etc.) appropriate to their vaccination status as advised by public health officials or to their individual vulnerabilities as advised by a medical professional. Public convening may not be safe for all and carries a risk for contracting COVID-19, particularly for those unvaccinated. Participants will not know the vaccination status of others and should follow appropriate risk mitigation measures.
